About Non-Veg Pickles
Andhra's celebrated non-veg pickles — Mutton, Tiger Prawns, Country Chicken, Korameenu, Nethallu, Crab, Boti — slow-cooked the old way in cold-pressed sesame oil. Each protein cures in its own time, drawing out spice without ever losing its bite.
Meat, fish and seafood — sourced like food, not commodity
We don't buy frozen blocks. Mutton is fresh boneless from the Saturday haat. Tiger prawns come from coastal Andhra. Country chicken (Natukodi) is free-range, not broiler. Fish is graded by hand — korameenu and pandugappa for their firm flesh, nethallu picked for size uniformity.
The slow-cook method
Each protein is marinated in chilli, turmeric and salt, sealed in gingelly oil, then slow-tempered over a low flame until the spice and oil bond. The pickle is cooled, blended with our home masala, and bottled by hand. The whole process takes a full day per batch.
Storage and serving
Keep refrigerated after opening. The natural oil cure means our non-veg pickles stay fresh up to 3 months in the fridge. Serve a teaspoon over hot rice and ghee for the classic Andhra meals experience, or pair with sannarava idli for a Sunday breakfast you'll remember.
